New Faces

Global Credit Union has hired Aaron Hayes as a facilities manager for the company’s logistics department in Spokane. He previously worked as a service manager for Bales Construction and has 11 years of related experience.

Denise Ashcroft has been hired as major gifts director for the American Red Cross Inland Northwest Chapter. She previously worked for Keller Williams Realty in Calabasas, Calif., and for the Mark Rypien Foundation and Healing Hearts Art in Spokane.

North Idaho College has hired Sheldon Nord as vice president of student services. He previously served as CEO of Universitas Pelita Harapan in Indonesia and has worked in student services at Weber State University, Eastern Oregon University, Indiana University and Corban College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Corban College, a master’s degree in college student services administration from Oregon State University and a doctorate degree in higher education from Indiana University.

Joseph Peters has been hired by Spokane Community College as dean of instruction for business, hospitality and information technologies. He previously served as an associate dean for the University of West Florida’s College of Professional Studies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Mercyhurst College, a master’s degree in natural science from Gannon University and a doctorate degree in science education from the University of Pittsburgh.

Kudos

Raddon Financial Group has named Spokane Teachers Credit Union among the nation’s highest performing credit unions for the second consecutive year. The credit union ranked in the 100th percentile for 2009 and in the 99th percentile for 2008, based on data provided by more than 500 credit unions.

The 2011 publication of Best Lawyers in America has named attorney Keller Allen in the practice of labor and employment law. Allen is founder of the law firm of Keller Allen, P.C. in Spokane.

Appointed

Gary Smith has been appointed as a clinical associate professor for Washington State University’s Department of Health Policy and Administration. He previously served as chief operating officer for St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute and serves as a senior project associate with the Area Health Education Center of Eastern Washington, a unit of the WSU Extension.
