California fugitive apprehended in Spokane Valley

Corey Andrew Dearing Sr., wanted in California on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, was arrested in Spokane Valley this morning. Dearing was taken without incident, according to a release from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, which got a tip on Dearing’s location after local media issued alerts regarding his presence in the area. He was taken into custody at the Maple Tree Motel, 4824 E. Sprague, and is being held at the Spokane Public Safety Building. The department release said the Pacific Northwest and Idaho violent crime task forces, Spokane Violent Gang Enforcement Team and Spokane Valley Police Department participated in the investigation that led up to the arrest of Dearing on a warrant issued by Riverside County, Calif. Dearing, 52, has ties to a white supremacy group, and was reportedly visiting family in Kootenai County.
