Woman faces charges in Spokane Valley accident

The Washington State Patrol said charges are pending in connection with a collision this morning on Trent Avenue at Dollar Road in Spokane Valley. Tina M. Hogewoning, 52, of Spokane, is under investigation after turning left on Trent in front of an oncoming vehicle driven by Bertman Langmen, 45, of Spokane. A passenger in the Langmen vehicle, Mellorrina L. Beasha, 21, of Spokane, was injured and taken to Valley Hospital and Medical Center for treatment. Hogewoning was headed west about 7:30 a.m. when she turned in front of an eastbound car driven by Langmen. Troopers said impaired driving may have contributed to the accident. Hogewoning faces a charge of failure to yield.
