Spokane police say teen sold pot at school

By The Spokesman-Review

A Mason jar filled with pot found in a backpack led to a teen’s arrest Monday at Mt. Spokane High School.

The 16-year-year-old, who attended the school, told a school resource deputy he “sells the drug at school to make money,” said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Dave Reagan.

The boy was booked into Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a dangerous weapon on school facilities, and released later Monday, Reagan said.

Mead School District officials said the teen has been expelled from school.
