Accidents snarl eastbound I-90 on West Plains

A series of traffic accidents this afternoon stopped eastbound traffic on Interstate 90 at the Medical Lake interchange, authorities said. Emergency crews were dispatched to treat occupants who were injured. A small fire was reported in one of the damaged vehicles. The series of accidents briefly blocked the freeway lanes following the accidents about 3:45 p.m. Spokane County Fire Protection District No. 3 crews were first to respond.
