Corrections center choice likely tonight
Spokane County commissioners are scheduled to confirm this evening their tentative selection of a site for a replacement of the Geiger Corrections Center.
Commissioners previously voted 2-1, with Bonnie Mager dissenting, to choose a location near the Medical Lake interchange on Interstate 90.
No public testimony is to be taken when commissioners revisit the selection at 5:30 p.m. in the Public Works Building at 1026 W. Broadway Ave., next to the courthouse.
Nor is there to be testimony on a proposal to declare an emergency so a necessary comprehensive plan change can be completed in time for a bond measure in April.

No public testimony on selection + No public testimony on emergency declaration = NO PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR THE BOND MEASURE IN APRIL!

When Commissioners Laurel and Hardy have their hands in our pockets again, everybody is nervous.
