Providence to close Deer Park rehab clinic
Providence Health Care plans to close its Deer Park outpatient rehabilitation clinic this week.
The clinic needed more than $150,000 in updates, which Providence is unwilling to fund.
Providence, which operates Sacred Heart Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital, said the updates were required by state officials.
The clinic offered physical, speech and occupational therapy. Providence said it would attempt to find jobs within its other rehabilitation clinics or services for affected employees.
