Fiance tells police he broke boy’s leg
A Coeur d’Alene man is accused of breaking the leg of his fiancée’s child last week.
Michael R. Edinger, 27, is jailed on two counts of cruelty to children after he and his fiancée, Rebecca L. Mullin, took Mullin’s 2-year-old son to Kootenai Medical Center on Saturday with what nurses said was an “unexplainable broken leg,” according to a police report.
Mullin sobbed during interviews with police, but Edinger “sat emotionless,” according to the report prepared by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.
Nurses told police the boy’s injury – a spiral fracture of the left femur – is rare and most likely caused by abuse.
The boy also had broken bones that appeared to have been inflicted several weeks ago, nurses said.
The couple, who work at Buck Knives in Post Falls, initially blamed the boy’s injuries on his clumsiness, but Edinger eventually told police he’d lost his temper and broken the boy’s leg while changing his diaper Friday, police said.
Edinger remains in the Kootenai County Jail on $100,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled Oct. 7.

….. dont blame it on the mother of this child or the finance you dont know the whole storyeven i dont but still….. even the press will write whatever they see with there eyes and add the facts they only know..if he was a monster! he would be laughing at the police you dont know all the facts and even the media doesn’t. not everyone is evil out there and when someone of the media or law enforcements can get there hands on a case they automatically juge “child abuser” they will do anything to stear this case and make this man gulity. whats sad is that people only wanna hear the bad things in life cause their more “interesting”, well isnt that what news is all about, point taken.

Just another example of women who don’t take responsibility for the care and welfare of thier children. They say things like “I never saw that side of him” or “He’s from a good family” Ladies take care of your children. Don’t let your shack up boyfrined become a caregiver for your babies. Is this man related to councelman Ron Edinger in Coeur d’alene? Is the mother of this child the daughter or President of the Republican womens club in Coeur d’alene Linda Cook?

to andjusticeforall…..and YOU think that im one of those army wives that sit at home?! were did that come from? whose says i sit at home, why dont i take your husband or son or daughter away from you for a year or so while there overseas FIGHTING for our country(by the way just to let you know if they didnt fight then you wouldnt be voicing your idiotic opinions now would you?) while every single minute of the day your thinking about them or you get excited over a phone call with them and you will stop anything you do so you can hear the voice even if you keep loosing connection with them, you cant say crap about us army wives it doesnt matter what we do with our lives cause we are the ones taking care of home while there gone… I WAS saying that ppl all around are judging this man and the courts havent even judged him were dont you see the wrong in this? and if your calling me a idiot well maybe you should look closer at yourself…
