Compare the pay stubs

Dan J. Joy’s rather arrogant letter (March 25) ridiculed the fact that Washington state government workers make much more than workers in the private sector in similar positions. Ending with: “Only the uneducated would believe otherwise.”

This brings up an interesting challenge: how to prove they do. There could be a way. For example: Find out how much state workers in the auto licensing department in the courthouse make, including benefits. Then compare it to how much workers in the various authorized private auto licensing agencies make.
