Spaying spares cruelty
An ad under “Found” in the paper really made me angry. A kind person found three kittens left in a box on the side of the road and needed help.
I hope the person who abandoned them reads my letter and realizes how cruel they are. Did you think they could take care of themselves? If somebody had not noticed and rescued them, they would have died an agonizing death.
Please take responsibility to spay or neuter your pets.
There are several options for low-cost spay/neutering. It’s simple. Just call one of our local shelters and they will gladly give you all the information you need.
I recently had the opportunity to tour SpokAnimal’s new facility with Director Gail Mackey. What a great job they do. I left with a feeling of hope for our animal population.
These animals did not ask to be born. Please take steps to help cut down our animal population of puppies and kittens.
