CC Spokane picks up first conference victories

The Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch rolled to their first two conference baseball victories of the season with a 8-2, 14-1 sweep of the Big Bend Vikings in Moses Lake on Wednesday.

Left-hander Jordan Wilson spaced out eight hits in the first game in going all nine innings for the Sasquatch (12-10, 2-4 NWAACC).

Right-hander Dillon Watkins followed that with a four-hitter in the seven-inning nightcap.

Taylor Hustad had four hits for the day, including a double and triple for the Sasquatch.

Brenden Herzer added four hits against the Vikings (10-12, 1-5).

Chris Hemphill’s stay in Spokane was a short one as he was released by the Shock.

He was signed last week when linebacker Antwan Marsh (concussion) couldn’t play in the Kansas City game. Hemphill left in the first half of that game with a quad injury.

The Shock have a bye this week.
