Armed man shuts down Forest Boulevard.
The SWAT team responded to reports of a man armed with a gun at 7:23 tonight and have blocked off Forest Boulevard, near Bismark Avenue, in Northwest Spokane.
The man has only threatened to harm himself, police said, and appears to be the only person in the home.
Officials said they could be there all night and residents living within the area that is cordoned off may not be able to return home tonight.
The Spokane Police Department, Spokane Fire Department and Spokane County Sheriff’s Department are all on scene.
