This year’s cool wet spring is showing no signs of changing the pattern.
The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures well below normal today with highs maybe reaching 46 degrees in Spokane and 45 in Coeur d’Alene.
Today’s weather is going to repeat itself through the weekend with showers on Friday and Saturday, but drying and cool conditions on Sunday.
Snow can be expected in the mountains with accumulations possible at lower elevations in the valleys north of Spokane and Coeur d’Alene on Friday.
Gusty winds are being forecast for late Saturday as a cold front passed through the region.
The chance of showers is 60 percent tonight 50 percent on Friday and 60 percent on Friday night. Snow is possible during the nighttime and morning hours.
The average high for this time of year is 57. Spokane has yet to see a high of 60 this spring.
The cool and showery weather pattern is expected to continue through the weekend and likely into next week, forecasters said.
Forecasters are calling for a 50 percent chance of showers on Saturday with conditions drying out by Saturday night.
