In brief: Registrations now being taken for Easter egg hunt

LIBERTY LAKE – Registration starts today for the annual Liberty Lake Community Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Pavillion Park at 11 a.m. next Saturday. The cost to participate is either six eggs filled with wrapped candy or $5 per person. Children must preregister at City Hall, 22710 E. Country Vista Drive, today, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m., or Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. People can also purchase tickets for the Easter brunch and teen All Fool’s Hunt at City Hall during the registration hours.

AARP will offer all-day Driver Safety program

SPOKANE VALLEY – AARP will offer its Driver Safety program at the Good Samaritan Society Community Center, 17121 E. Eighth Ave., on April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The program will include defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws and rules of the road. Driver Safety will also teach participants how to deal with aggressive drivers and how to safely use anti-lock brakes, air bags and safety belts, as well as how to handle problem situations such as left turns, right-of-way, interstate highway traffic, trucks and blind spots.

Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers.
