The man is described as a 6-foot-2, about 200 pounds and wearing a back and white hooded coat or sweatshirt and dark jeans. His age and race are unknown. The shooting occurred at an apartment at 6311 N. Altamont St. Levi W. Corker was investigating a noise when he saw a man run from the apartment about 3 a.m., police said today. He opened the front door and was greeted by the gunman, who shot him in the chest and fled. Police found a bag of suspected marijuana in the bushes west of the apartment door, according to a search warrant. A reward is being offered for tips that help arrest a suspect.
