Government job after all

The amazing thing about good old Rob Leach (Letters, April 14) is not his monthly letters, but that he actually seems to believe that what he writes makes sense.

Just for openers, Rob, not one thin dime of gummint money goes to pay for abortions at Planned Parenthood. Nada. Zilch. That is just not my opinion, it is the law.

Rob’s plan for all those unwanted children:

Presumably, gummint passes a law requiring mentally or physically ill or raped women to bear children. Then Rob suggests that gummint pass a law taking away those children, I assume for adoption. He then suggests that those impoverished parents be made to provide support payments to the presumably rich adoptees, and then be forced to live on whatever is left without gummint “handouts.” That’s a lot of gummint interference from a man who wants gummint out of our lives and bedrooms.

In fairness, Rob adds the caveat that we should support “those who truly cannot support themselves through no fault of their own,” although he does not say how. I assume it is with best wishes and prayer and not through any of his precious taxes. But what does an irresponsible Democrat know about compassion?
