Sean A. Blair, 30, was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of first-degree trafficking in stolen property and second-degree possession of stolen property.
Spokane Community College had at least three projectors stolen and SCC employees later found the stolen property for sale on the online classified Web site Craig’s List. Blair was arrested after selling one of the projectors online and police say he has been identified as a suspect in computer thefts from several other schools and hospitals.
Authorities believe Blair, who also goes by Alex and claims to own Alexander’s Financial to make his internet sales seem more legitimate, may have sold other stolen property to unknowing victims on Craig’s List.
Blair is white, 6’1”, 160 pounds, with short brown hair. He may drive a silver, four-door Volkswagen, police said.
Police are asking help locating the other Mitsubishi XD model projectors, which are white in color, as well as other stolen equipment. Anyone who believes they may have purchased stolen property from Blair is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
