New Faces

Spokane Teachers Credit Union has hired Ronda Mitchell as a business loan officer. She previously served as vice president and commercial loan officer for bankcda.

Kathy Reinholdt, Kitty McMillan and Sean Kiewert have been hired as sales associates for Windermere North LLC’s Spokane office.

Northwest Farm Credit Services has hired Clay Morscheck as vice president of the company’s project management center. He previously worked as a relationship manager for Financial Partners Inc. and holds a degree in business finance/financial systems from the University of Idaho.

New Position

Avista Corporation has named Roger Woodworth chief strategy officer of the company in addition to his role as vice president. Woodworth has been with Avista for 32 years.

Promotions

Northwest Farm Credit Services promoted Stacy Lavin from assistant general counsel to executive vice president general counsel. He joined the company in 2001. The company also promoted Erin Wells from vice president of credit underwriting in the loan processing department to vice president of strategy and innovation.

Bryn West has been promoted from assistant marketing director to center manager for River Park Square LLC.

Kudos

Ann Carey received a national customer service award during the 2011 Edison Electric Institute National Key Accounts Workshop. Carey is a key account executive for Avista.

Spokane Teachers Credit Union was awarded three Diamond Awards and two Merit Awards during the Credit Union National Association Marketing and Business Development Council’s annual marketing awards.

The U.S. Small Business Administration named Kat Vercruyssen Idaho Small Business Person of the Year for 2011. Vercruyssen is owner of Comfort Keepers, an in-home care business in North Idaho.

Itron received a Metering International Excellence Award during African Utility Week for the company’s participation in Africa’s power and utility sector.

SPIE, international society for optics and photonics named Mark Kuzyk a fellow and recognized him for his achievements in organic nonlinear optics and polymer optical fiber technology. Kuzyk is an associate physics professor at Washington State University.

Dissmore’s IGA in Pullman received a Corporations for Communities award from Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed for the grocery store’s community contributions.

The American Council of Engineering Companies presented the University of Idaho with its National Recognition Award for Engineering Excellence, for the university’s Stadium Drive Extension project.

Elected

Mike Rennaker and Carol Nelson have been elected to Spokane Teachers Credit Union board of directors. Rennaker is an independent financial advisor. Nelson works with her family on Nelson Farms and serves as co-director of professional learning for Northwest Inland Writing Project.

The Spokane Association of Realtors has named Marilyn Amato president-elect 2012. Amato is a Realtor with Century 21 Beutler and Associates Spokane.

Ciao Mambo, Italian restaurant in downtown Spokane, donated $4,500 to Wishing Star Foundation.

Appointed

The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer appointed doctors Renu Sinha and Jonathan Nickoloff to serve as cancer liaison physicians for a three-year term. Dr. Sinha will serve as cancer liaison physician for the cancer program at Valley Hospital and Medical Center while Dr. Nickoloff will serve as a liaison for Providence Holy Family Hospital’s cancer program.
