In brief: Stolen projector sold online, spurring arrest

Spokane police Saturday arrested a man suspected of selling property stolen from several local schools and hospitals.

Sean A. Blair, 30, was booked into Spokane County Jail for first-degree trafficking in stolen property and second-degree possession of stolen property.

Three projectors stolen from Spokane Community College later were offered for sale on Craigslist, police said. Blair was arrested after selling one of the projectors online, and is suspected in computer thefts from other schools and hospitals.

Authorities believe Blair, who also goes by Alex, may have sold other stolen property on Craigslist.

Police are asking help locating the other Mitsubishi XD projectors, which are white, as well as other stolen equipment. Anyone who may have purchased stolen property from Blair is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.

Planning Commission seeks to fill vacancy

Spokane County is seeking applications for a vacancy on its Planning Commission.

The opening is for someone who lives in county commissioner District 2, which includes Liberty Lake, much of Spokane Valley, and other areas east of U.S. Highway 195.

The position has been held by Doug Kelley, who completed his second four-year term in February, the most allowed.

The Planning Commission meets monthly to advise county commissioners on land-use issues.
