Bulls’ Rose day-to-day with ankle sprain

Derrick Rose (pictured) played 32 minutes, 29 seconds after spraining his left ankle Saturday, which is why teammates looked incredulous when asked if the Bulls’ No. 1 – in every conceivable manner – will play in Game 5 on Tuesday after two days of rest. “One hundred percent he’ll play,” said C.J. Watson, Rose’s replacement if he can’t go. Rose underwent an MRI exam Sunday afternoon, hours after he wore a walking boot as he sat for an individual film session with coach Tom Thibodeau. The Bulls watched film, walked through sets and got in individual work, and Rose is listed as day-to-day after not participating in the latter.
