Lightning, hail storm cause postponement of GSL baseball games
The Greater Spokane League baseball leaders’ games were suspended Thursday because of lightning and a hail storm.
The Ferris/Mt. Spokane and Mead/University games are scheduled to resume as part of a doubleheader today, beginning at 2 at Ferris and University.
Ferris (14-2), which locked up the top 4A district seed last week, needs just one win to clinch its first league championship since 2006. U-Hi (12-4) can lock up the top 3A district seed with one victory. Mt. Spokane (11-5) needs to sweep Ferris and get help from Mead to secure the 3A’s top district seed.
