Finalists from the “50 Hour Slam” film festival will be shown Sunday at the Magic Lantern Theatre.
The shorts were created by local filmmakers over a 50-hour period at the beginning of April. Of the 35 submissions, 15 finalists were chosen by judges.
They will be shown in two screenings, Sunday at 3 and 7 p.m., at the Magic Lantern, 25 W. Main Ave. Tickets are $10 at the door; proceeds benefit ReelSpokane Film Festival.
The judges’ top award and a people’s choice award will be presented at a closing celebration at Isabella’s Gin Joint, 21 W. Main Ave.
All 35 entries also are posted online at www.50HourSlam.com. The film that gets the highest rating from online viewers will receive a Viral Award at the ReelSpokane festival later this year.
The films also will be shown on Community Minded Television, Comcast cable channel 14.
