Auction will benefit Valleyfest

Probably more than a few people have already marked their calendars for the annual Valleyfest community event, which is set for Sept. 23-25 this year. But before the event can go on, volunteers have to raise money to pay for it.

The third annual Valleyfest auction is set for May 13 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at CenterPlace, 2426 N. Discovery Place. The evening, which is being called “Our Community in Motion,” will include more than silent and live bidding on a variety of items, however. There will also be dinner provided by Red Rock Catering, and dancing.

Live auction items include a weeklong stay at a Mexican villa (located 20 miles from Ixtapa); a weekend in Kellogg, Idaho; sailing on Lake Coeur d’Alene; and an aerial tour of the Spokane area.

Tickets are $35 and are available by calling (509) 922-3299. All proceeds benefit Valleyfest.
