Injured NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski was airlifted to a Georgia hospital following a head-on crash into a wall at Road Atlanta on Wednesday. Penske Racing said in a statement that Keselowski walked from the car and was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. Keselowski later posted several updates on his Twitter page, including two photos that appeared to show a swollen ankle and an abrasion on his foot.

Awarded An arbitrator has awarded Nashville defenseman Shea Weber $7.5 million for the upcoming season. Weber won the highest award handed out in NHL arbitration and made him the fifth-highest paid defenseman in the NHL.

Reinstated Notre Dame has reinstated wide receiver Michael Floyd to the football team four months after his arrest on drunken driving charges. Coach Brian Kelly suspended Floyd a day after his arrest. Kelly said that he’s now comfortable with Floyd’s return because the senior has shown personal growth.

Cleared Oregon State flanker James Rodgers has been cleared to practice in a “limited fashion” after two knee surgeries.

Agreed Guard Jordan Farmar became the latest Nets player to head for the European leagues when he signed with Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv. Farmar, who is Jewish, won two NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers.

• The Chicago Blackhawks and forward Patrick Sharp agreed to five-year contract extension. The 29-year-old Sharp tied for eighth in the league with a team-leading 34 goals.

• Northwestern and athletic director Jim Phillips agreed on a new 10-year contract that runs through 2020.

Disputed A Dutch cyclist who was a teammate of Lance Armstrong disputed a claim by a Dutch magazine that he admitted in an interview to taking the performance-enhancing drug EPO. The magazine NUSport quoted Max van Heeswijk as answering “yes” when asked whether he had used the drug. But the retired cyclist said the journalist misunderstood him, and that he was referring to vitamins he took in preparation for a race.
