Tax cuts created nothing
Despite being in the 56 percent bracket, I was against the Reagan tax cuts, since Reagan, instead of paying for his military buildup, saddled the nation with unheard-of debt. Bush squandered the budget surplus he inherited by cutting again the taxes for the well-off while at the same time misleading the USA into unwarranted trillion-dollar wars.
The Bush tax cuts created no jobs. Instead, millions of jobs were lost permanently since businesses have learned to produce the desired amount of goods with better technology and fewer people. Why can’t the GOP agree to expire the Bush tax cuts? The well-off will never notice it.
To increase the tax bracket for incomes over $250,000 from 35 percent to 38 percent will not cause any lost jobs.
The GOP argument that small businesses will be hurt is ridiculous. The great majority of small businesses can only dream of making over $250,000.
GOP wants to stop job losses? Firing public employees is not losing jobs?
If the GOP cannot tell the Tea Party radicals to get lost, then perhaps they should send us into another economic disaster if only to wake up the American people in time for the next election.
