Pie festival Saturday at Liberty Lake market

The Liberty Lake Farmers Market and White Box Pies will host the annual Pie Festival at the market on Saturday.

There will be pie walks throughout the day, modeled after old-fashioned cake walks. The person left when the music stops will win a pie from White Box Pies.

And for those with a serious appetite for pies, there are pie-eating contests at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

White Box will also sell pies, including little pies for kids.

The Liberty Lake Farmers Market is held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane in Liberty Lake. There is more information at www.llfarmersmarket.com.
