Temperatures fall to the 70s today
A weak weather disturbance is passing over the Inland Northwest this morning, bringing clouds and temperatures about 7 to 10 degrees below normal.
Highs in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene should reach about 76 degrees today with partly cloudy skies.
Scattered showers are possible in the mountain areas of Northeast Washington and North Idaho.
Higher air pressure returns starting Tuesday with temperatures quickly rebounding to the middle 80s through the rest of the work week and into the weekend.
The average high today in Spokane is 84 degrees; the annual maximum average high of 85 in late July and early August.
At 7 a.m., it was 54 degrees at Spokane International Airport, 58 at Felts Field and 55 in Deer Park and Coeur d’Alene.
