Firefighter’s winning barbecue sauce

Fire Station 13 earns top prize in contest

Tree Top has honored Tony Yuen and Spokane Fire Station No. 13 as the winner of America’s Best Firehouse BBQ Cook-Off.

The recipe for Tony’s Puleihu BBQ Sauce, a Hawaiian family recipe that Yuen makes for the station, helped land the $10,000 top prize in the contest.

The station plans to use the money to purchase equipment and boost its benevolent fund.

Here’s the recipe from the winning video from the station. The videos are still posted at www.AmericasBest FirehouseBBQ.com.
