Area roundup: WSU, Eastern release men’s basketball schedules

Washington State and Eastern Washington revealed their complete men’s basketball schedules on Wednesday and both include several games against 2011 postseason tournament participants.

WSU will play 12 games in Pullman, five in nonconference action and seven in Pac-12 play, along with “home” games at Spokane Arena and Seattle’s KeyArena.

The Eagles will play 15 games versus 11 NCAA Division I schools that played in national postseason tournaments in 2011. The Eagles will play all 11 of those foes on the road, as well as four conference home games.

College soccer

Whitworth has been picked to finish fourth in men’s soccer this fall in a vote by the Northwest Conference’s coaches. Pacific Lutheran is picked finish first, with Pacific second and Whitman third. The top four schools in the poll received first-place votes.
