Pipeline protest begins in D.C.

In custody: A U.S. Park Police officer handcuffs and arrests a protester during a demonstration Saturday in front of the White House against a proposed 1,700-mile pipeline to bring tar sands oil to the U.S. from Canada. A Park Police spokesman said 65 people were arrested Saturday. The protest is expected to continue for two weeks. (Associated Press)
