A Coeur d’Alene man was in serious condition on today from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a car while on foot in Plummer earlier in the day.

Richard L. Seyler, 59, was taken to Kootenai Medical Center following the accident shortly after 2 a.m., according to Idaho State Police.

He was walking along C Street in Plummer, which is also state Highway 5, when an eastbound Chrysler 300 driven by Justin E. Hall, 28, of Plummer, struck him, police said.

Officers said they are investigating the possibility that alcohol was a factor in the incident.
