Motorcycle driver charged with DUI in accident

A motorcycle rider was injured early today when he failed to negotiate a curve on Trent Avenue at Wellesley Avenue in Spokane Valley.

Ricky H. Curtis, 56, was headed west on Trent when his 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle left the roadway, ejecting Curtis, who was thrown about 50 feet from the bike, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Curtis was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment. He was charged with driving under the influence.
