Religion Notebook: Concert, dessert theater planned

The First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., will present “The Glory of Christmas,” a holiday concert and dessert theater presentation by Lari Goss and Phil Barfoot on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The event will feature a 50-voice choir, performances by southern gospel quartet FourGiven, dancers and soloists.

Sleigh rides will be offered before each performance for $2 per person. The concert is $5.

Special guest at Buddhist temple

Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will present Rinban Don Castro from the Seattle Betsuin Sunday during its 10:30 a.m. service.

Castro has been a Buddhist minister for 32 years and served at temples in San Francisco and Sebastopol, Calif. He has been at the Seattle Betsuin since 1996.
