CdA police use Facebook to reconnect theft victims, belongings

After a rash of burglaries, the Coeur d’Alene Police Department is using the Facebook to reconnect victims with their belongings.

Those who believe they have been the victim of theft in the area should visit www.facebook.com/CoeurdAlenePD to view photos of recently-recovered property and call the Detective Division at (208) 769-2291 with a police report number to claim property. If a police report was not filed, the process will take longer.

Recently, Moses Lake police arrested persons in possession of a moving van full of stolen property that investigators believe mostly came from Kootenai County. To view an inventory of stolen property recovered in Moses Lake, visit www.moseslakepolice.com and click the stolen property photos link.

Coeur d’Alene police urge victims to visit the pages daily for updates. Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is asked to call the department at (208) 769-2320.
