Several season bests lead Vandals over UC Davis

Stephen Madison scored a career-high 19 points and Deremy Geiger added 18 to lift Idaho to a 94-74 nonconference victory over UC Davis on Saturday in Davis, Calif.

The Vandals (4-3) never trailed. They took their biggest lead of 22 points early in the second half and finished shooting 56 percent from the field.

Madison pulled down a career-high eight rebounds, helping Idaho beat the Aggies (1-7) on the boards 31-25.

Connor Hill made a game-high five 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 17 points for the Vandals while Kyle Barone added 15 points and Landon Tatum totaled a career-high nine assists.

The win was Idaho’s third in its last four games.

CC Spokane 94, Shoreline 72: Luke Evans poured in a game-high 21 points and Brady Bagby came off the bench to contribute 19 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to lead the Sasquatch (5-0) to a victory over the Dolphins (4-2) in the Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic at Spokane Community College.

Preston Wynne scored 14 and DeAngelo Jones chipped in with 12 points and seven boards for the Sasquatch, who advance to the championship game against North Idaho at 3 p.m. today at SCC.

North Idaho 80, Yakima 73: Michael Middlebrooks and Keon Lewis both tallied 15 points and five rebounds to propel the Cardinals (9-0) to a victory over the Yaks (3-2) in the Bigfoot-Cardinal Classic at Coeur d’Alene.

Jordan McCloud added 12 points and nine rebounds for NIC, while reserve Kaj Sherman added 12 points and five rebounds.
