Four join Luck as Heisman finalists

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Trent Richardson, Tyrann Mathieu and Montee Ball are the Heisman Trophy finalists, ESPN announced Monday. The group includes the preseason favorite – Stanford quarterback Luck – and at least one player, LSU CB Mathieu, who was low profile when the season began. Luck (pictured) is a finalist for the second straight season. The other QB on the list, Griffin, is the first Baylor player to get an invitation to the Heisman dinner in New York. Alabama’s Richardson and Wisconsin’s Ball are RBs. The Heisman Trophy will be presented Saturday night. Also Monday, it was announced that Luck won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, presented annually to the nation’s top quarterback who best exemplifies character and scholastic and athletic achievement. – AP
