Police seek help locating missing EWU student
Spokane police need help finding a missing Eastern Washington University student.
Jonathon Potapenko, 20, has been missing since Sunday, according to police. He missed three finals this week and his family is concerned.
Potapenko is 6‘3”, 175 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He drives a gray 2006 Toyota Camry with Washington license plate number AFR7355.
Anyone has any information on his whereabouts should call 911.

Not to sound flippant but it’s not unusual for students that are failing to bail on finals week; what’s the point of taking your exams if you know you are already flunking out? It happened a few times when I was getting my degree, kids just cut out early and dealt with the fallout the next quarter; if at all…

Awww he always seemed so nice! We walked by each other every day in between classes. I really hope he is okay! :(

Well there goes my theory…I was wrong and I apologize. Also, according to KREM 2 he lives in Spokan’t.
I sure hope that he just went off on a lark. Although that seems unlikely…since he missed three final exams - something that honor students just don’t do.
