Lack of accuracy, concern embarassing

I firmly believe an apology from The Spokesman-Review and Nina Culver is due to Lauri Nauditt (principal) and staff at St. Mary’s Catholic School for the misguided information printed in the Voices (Dec. 1). St. Mary’s is a thriving school with a devoted, mission-minded staff that is fully accredited.

You stated that the school has been weakened by hiring of noncredentialed teachers. In fact, all teaching staff K-8 is fully credentialed. Period, there are no exceptions. I am embarrassed by the lack of accuracy and lack of concern when printing the so called correction. How noble to change the words in the Web version, but not rerun the article in print with the facts. As a parishioner and parent who gladly and confidently sends my children to St. Mary’s, I agree that this entire matter regarding the petition should have been handled internally and I am sad it has been handed recklessly to a newspaper/reporter that grossly misinterpreted the facts.

God bless the staff at St. Mary’s. Thank you for teaching our children to be Christ-minded and to work and live by the teaching of our faith. I know that our kids will be strong leaders in the community because of your work.
