Meyer has some proving to do

So Urban Meyer is going to Ohio State. He has the reputation as a great coach, so we’ll see. Some have suggested his reputation isn’t deserved because his first national championship was won with players recruited by Ron Zook and his second was with Tim Tebow. Some have said he bailed from Florida after he saw the program going downhill since he did not have Tebow anymore.

As far as bringing integrity to the Ohio State program, does anyone remember the 30 or so players arrested during the Urban regime at Florida? Or of charges that he was recruiting thugs? At least Ohio State will be able to get rid of the team tattoo artist because most of the players recruited by Urban will probably have tattoos. Of course, that position can be filled by the newly created position of bail bondsman.

Ohio State officials  might want to consult with Les Miles at LSU as some have hinted he keeps an attorney on his staff to defend his players and also to negotiate plea bargains with the Baton Rouge prosecutor’s office. Anything to have charges reduced from felony to misdemeanor so Les can keep his people on the field.

Good luck to the Ohio State University.
