Sun later today, and snow later this week

After a cloudy start to the day, the sun is expected to appear later today, with a high near 30. Tonight’s low is expected to be around 18 to 20 in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area, the National Weather Service says.

A stagnant air advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. today.

Daytime highs won’t get much above the mid-30s this week, forecaster said today. Lows will be in the low to mid 20s.

Snow may fall Wednesday night, with a 30 percent chance in Spokane and a 40 percent chance in Coeur d’Alene, the agency said. Less than an inch would fall.

Snow is more likely Thursday, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation and 1 to 2 inches possible in the area.
