In brief: SCRAPS waiving pet adoption fees

From Local Reports

SPOKANE VALLEY – Through the remainder of the holiday season, Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service will waive adoption fees for pets. The goal is to empty the shelter and give the homeless animals a home this Christmas.

Until the end of December, animal adoptions will include only the cost of the license, which is $25 for dogs and $15 for cats. All pets will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed and receive a free veterinary examination.

SCRAPS is closed Sundays and will also be closed for Christmas on Dec. 26 and for the New Year on Jan. 2.
