Two young girls were killed and one injured after crashing into a logging truck early this morning on Highway 95 near De Smet, Idaho.
Driver Alexandria M. Baysinger, 17, and passenger Amber J. Baysinger, 12, were both killed in the 7:30 a.m. crash, according to an Idaho State Police news release.
Alexandria Baysinger was northbound on Highway 95 in a Nissan Coupe when she crossed the centerline and crashed head on into the logging truck, driven by Jack A. Hester, 34, of Sagle, who was uninjured, the news release said.
Alexandria Baysinger was pronounced dead at the scene. Amber Baysinger was later pronounced dead at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow. Another passenger, a 14-year-old girl, was taken to Gritman Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
All the girls are of Carlin, Nev.
All involved were wearing seatbelts, the news release said. The road was blocked for about seven hours.
