Wine and Cheese at the Market - Presented by Rocket Market. December and January classes include: Friday, 90 Point Plus Reds, tasting of “expert approved” wines, cheese and La Brea bread, $29 plus tax; Jan. 6, Rocket Wine All-Stars, enjoy eight wines with cheese and La Brea bread, $20 plus tax; Jan. 7, Beer! Winter Seasonals and New Releases, taste eight brews with cheese and La Brea bread, $20 plus tax; Jan. 13, Wines of South America, enjoy eight wines with cheese and La Brea bread; Jan. 20, Wines of Australia and New Zealand, taste eight wines with cheese and LaBrea bread, $20 plus tax; Jan. 27, Wines of South Africa, enjoy eight wines with cheese and LaBrea bread, $20 plus tax. Cooking Classes for Adults - Offered through Community Colleges of Spokane Institute for Extended Learning. Classes include: Jan. 9, Soup, Stews, and Chowders, 6-9 p.m., $49; Jan. 23, Authentic Southern Fried Chicken Dinner, 6-9 p.m., $49; and Jan 26, Flavors of East India, 6:30-9:30 p.m., $39. Feed Cheney Free Dinner - Open the last Monday of the month. There also will be free groceries for participants to take home and a clothing bank. No paperwork is required. Chef’s Culinary Classic - 19th annual black tie event to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Spokane. Chefs from throughout the Inland Northwest will prepare a six-course meal paired with wine. Event will also include silent and live auctions.
