COMING UP: Friday at Montana, noon.

OUTLOOK: Eastern, coming off Wednesday night’s 82-66 conference-opening win at Montana State, will have its erratic offensive tested by a Montana defense that is holding opponents to a conference-low average of 63 points per game. The Eagles’ top scorer is junior forward Collin Chiverton, who is averaging 18 points a game. The Grizzlies, who beat visiting Portland State on Wednesday, are paced by junior point guard Will Cherry, who is averaging 14 points and a team-high 3.5 assists. Sophomore wing Kareem Jamar is averaging 13.5 points for UM, which is also getting just more than eight points and seven rebounds a game from 7-foot senior center Derek Selvig.
