Rathdrum man gets life sentence for lewd conduct
A 41-year-old Rathdrum man was sentenced Wednesday to serve up to life in prison for three counts of lewd conduct with a minor.
Kootenai County 1st District Judge Benjamin Simpson ordered that Frank D. Marks spend at least 30 years in prison, a news release from the county prosecutor’s office said.
The three charges alleged that Marks had sexual contact with three juvenile victims over a period of seven years. All three victims testified in the case. Marks was found guilty of the offenses on Aug. 12.
Prosecuting Attorney Barry McHugh, who tried the case, said the sentence was appropriate given that Marks continues to deny any inappropriate conduct.
“His adamant denials eliminate the possibility of rehabilitation,” McHugh said.
