Deer Park pharmacy robbed twice this month
A Deer Park pharmacy was robbed today for the second time this month.
A man, who vaguely resembled the person who robbed the pharmacy Dec. 5, walked into the Medicine Shoppe at 11 E. H Street about 4 p.m. and handed employees a note demanding pain medication, said Sgt. Dave Reagan, Spokane County Sheriff’s spokesman. He indicated he was armed with a gun, though one was not displayed.
He ran from the pharmacy behind the nearby Salt Dog Eatery, just as the robber did earlier in the month, Reagan said. In this robbery, an employee followed the man, who ran into a trailer park at S. 600 Main Street.
He is described as a white male in his early 20s, who was 5’8” tall and thin. He had blond hair, blue eyes and a two-day growth of beard. He wore a black beanie, a tan fleece jacket, blue cargo pants and black leather gloves.
He fled with an undisclosed amount of prescription pain medications and took the note he handed to employees with him. No one was injured during the robbery.
Anyone with information regarding either armed robbery should call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.

The article did not say what type of pain med, but probably was Oxycontin. Maybe they should not stock the pain med and post it on the entrance door.

No, they should carry what their paying customers want. Instead of surrendering, the pharmacist should keep a .45 beneath the prescription window, and whenever anyone threatens him with a gun, shoot him.

You know this dirtbag isn’t too bright, as just about every other person in Deer Park has a rifle or gun w/them at any moment. And being as there is not a real LE presence in Deer Park (there’s a sheriff’s annex this is staffed sporadically), it’s just a matter of time before he gets shot and/or killed.
Slightly O/T: I know some here will want to portray the sap as the “victim” of big pharma, but ultimately we all have a responsibility to act humanely to others. Robbing people w/a weapon and scaring them to death is not a humane action. Here’s to hoping he overdoses tonight and the problem takes care of itself…

Right on Gmorton and Loudin!
This punk is no victim, but a criminal. No one ever forced him to start taking opiates, and only he can stop. (If he wants)
Back in the early 80’s when we all thought coke wasn’t very addictive, I learned a powerful lesson on the “will to stop” when i forced myself to stop taking addictive drugs. It wasn’t fun, but i did it anyway. Had i not, i’d probably ended up in jail or dead.
If this guy really wanted to, he could quit, but in today’s world, we’ve convinced the younger generation that everything is easy, and if its not, well its just not their fault. All he really has to do is man up and do the right thing. If he doesn’t, its because he doesn’t want to.

Now that he’s done it twice you can expect him to try it again, I’m guessing two weeks from now. Once a crook finds an easy target they’ll keep at it as long as they can. Hopefully the pharmacy is investing in video equipment so he can be easily identified next time.
