Eastern Washington Eagles outlook

RECORD: 7-14 overall, 4-5 Big Sky

COMING UP: Tonight at Northern Colorado, 6; Saturday at Idaho State, 6

OUTLOOK: Following back-to-back conference home wins last week, the Eagles return to the road hoping to snap a 17-game road losing streak that dates to last winter. First up is Northern Colorado, coming off back-to-back road losses to Weber State and Northern Arizona after starting Big Sky play 7-0. The Bears, who boast the Big Sky’s No. 2 scorer in senior guard Devon Beitzel (19.1 ppg), edged Eastern 75-73 in Cheney earlier this year. EWU will also face an up-and-down ISU team they beat 83-70 at Reese Court last Saturday. The Bengals feature senior guard Broderick Gilchrest (14.5 ppg) and senior center Deividas Busma (12.1 ppg).
