Civic disobedience: A Washington State Patrol trooper examines a stolen Honda that the driver crashed into a tree after a police chase Wednesday that began in Federal Way and ended in Fife, Wash. Trooper Johnny Alexander said a pursuit ensued when a BMW was reported stolen in Federal Way. The chase led to a Costco in Fife, where the driver ditched the BMW and then stole a red Honda in the parking lot. The driver allegedly tried to run over a pursuing motorcycle trooper who fired two shots at his window. The trooper was uninjured. (Associated Press)
