Washington State Cougars outlook

RECORD: 15-6 overall, 5-4 Pac-10

COMING UP: Today at Oregon, 6 p.m.; Saturday at Oregon State, 5 p.m., FSN.

OUTLOOK: The second half of the Pac-10 season begins tonight in Eugene, part of a more-dangerous- than-it-looks weekend for WSU. The Ducks (10-11, 3-6) are a different team than the one that lost 77-63 in Pullman. Three key contributors, including leading scorer Joevan Catron, missed all or most of that one with injuries, and all are back. The Ducks won two of three road games the past couple of weeks. Oregon State (8-12, 3-6) is headed the other way, having lost six of its last seven. The Beavers’ vaunted zone defenses have been shredded at times, as they’ve yielded a Pac-10-worst 75.1 points per game in conference.
