Don’t mess with anthem

I find it very interesting – and somewhat humiliating – that top recording artists don’t know the words and music to our most American songs.

At the hugely attended and watched Super Bowl, the first girl didn’t know the words to her song; the second girl felt she had to scream the words and make up her own lyrics.

Why can’t we go back to singing our national songs as they were written and be proud?

The Star Spangle Banner should only be sung in the key of G…and sung by the crowd or 12 year old…no more of this rock-jazz-gospel-rap crap improvisation…it’s the National Anthem not a top 40’s hit.

I wish more schools taught students all of those songs(and keep practicing them)! No wonder some of the teens, 20’s and 30’s don’t have a clue. When you go to a high school ball game, most of the audience is quietly listening to the National Anthem-that’s unnerving. It’s suppose to be audience participation!!!
